Christina Park homeless encampment eviction

The mayor's office plans to evict roughly 50-plus encampment residents from Christina Park on June 15, and advocates and park residents filled the chamber demanding a humane transition plan first. Council adopted a non-binding resolution 9-0 urging the halt of the eviction, funding for transitional housing, and a dedicated Homelessness Response Coordinator in the mayor's office.
